Gallbladder Symptoms

Problems with the gallbladder can come upon you quickly or slowly so it is sometimes not an easy task diagnosing the disease or condition. To make things even more complicated, many of the gallbladder symptoms can be mistaken for symptoms of other diseases or even just as everyday discomforts. Since doctors are not always perfect and do not know your body and its problems as well as you do, it is important for you to be able to identify the problems and piece them together.

Gallbladder symptoms can especially be taken for digestive problems, because the complaints are practically the same. This includes bloating, burping, belching, constipation, diarrhea and indigestion that may be triggered by eating fatty or greasy foods. Since foods can cause the symptoms, many just assume that it is due to a food intolerance or that they have simply eaten something wrong that day that did not agree with them. Other symptoms of problems caused by the Gallbladder include upper abdominal pain, jaundice, vomiting, side pains and nausea. In some cases the symptoms can be quite severe and even be accompanied by a fever.

Not everyone that has a problem with their gallbladder will even notice anything at all. The fact is that the majority of people that have gallstones will experience no gallbladder symptoms at all. The good thing about these cases is that if there are no symptoms then the gallstones are causing no problems and they can just be left there without having to worry about any negative effects on the health.

If gallbladder symptoms persevere and happen frequently, then medical attention is required. The Gallbladder can be completely removed or you may have to avoid certain foods that trigger the symptoms. Especially fatty foods cause problems and clear liquids are mild and can quiet the organ. If the symptoms are frequent it is probably because the organ is full of gallstones and then the severity of the attacks will be used to determine treatment. Some painkillers may relieve the pain and life can go on as usual, even if there are many gallstones.
